socServices for Older Citizens (SOC) is a nonprofit organization that reaches out in many ways to help seniors from the Grosse Pointes and Harper Woods to maximize their independence. SOC coordinates solutions to senior needs and concerns; operates a minor home repair service and meals on wheels program; offers lunch and activities four days a week and weekly trips; broadcasts a daily cable television program on channel 5; provides assistance with completing tax forms, flu vaccination programs, and transportation when PAATS is not an option.  SOC may be reached by calling 313-882-9600.
