Pool Supervisor (full time/seasonal) –

The Pool Supervisor will serve as a liaison between the lifeguards and the Parks & Recreation Supervisor. Essential job functions will include; scheduling (regular & special events), staff training, orientation, record pool readings, weekly inspections, some administrative work, swim lessons, and handle any dangerous or potentially hazardous situations. Supervisor will also respond to and handle patron, and staff concerns and complaints.

Requirements – Lifeguard Instructor certification, American Red Cross Lifeguard, First Aid, CPR, AED and Blood Borne Pathogen certifications. Good communication and organizational skills, the ability to work well with others and be able to supervise 30 – 40 seasonal staff members.

Lifeguards (full time/seasonal) –
This position is responsible for ensuring the safety of all individuals within the pool area at Windmill Pointe Park. Work is performed under the direction of the Pool Supervisor. Duties include; promote a positive and safe experience for all patrons and park staff, communicate policies, rules, and procedures in a friendly and pleasant manner. Keep an accurate record of individuals using the pool, alert supervisors of dangerous or potentially hazardous situations. Guards will assist with swim lessons, daily opening and closing duties, attend training and staff meetings, perform minor maintenance, respond to patron concerns and complaints, and other duties as assigned.

Requirements – Must possess current certification in lifeguard training, CPR and standard first aid from a nationally recognized organization or must be enrolled and attending a certified lifeguard training program.

Knapsacker (Day Camp) Lead Instructor (full time/seasonal) –
This position is responsible for planning, coordinating and overseeing the Knapsacker day camp program and approves all daily camp activities as approved by the Supervisor of Parks & Recreation. Individual is responsible for communicating with parents, guardians and other camp staff during the duration of the summer camp. The Lead Instructor is responsible for the planning, preparation and organization of daily activities, set-up/clean-up, as well as all administrative duties related to the camp.

Requirements – First Aid & CPR certification required prior to the first day of camp. Experience in planning programs, ability to work with others, excellent leadership skills, and organizational skills.
