Movie Theatre Concession Staff (year-round part time positions)

Park Maintenance Shift Leaders (year-round part time)

Responsible for grounds upkeep, including trimming, edging, mowing lawn, collecting trash, etc. Performing necessary cleaning activities, such as dusting, mopping, trash removal, etc. Provide direction and feedback to workers during shifts, train and assist new employees, and ensure safety standards are followed. Also inspect equipment and communicate needed repairs or replacements to management. Be available to work weekends, holidays and special events. Pool Supervisor (full time/seasonal) 
The Pool Supervisor will serve as a liaison between the lifeguards and the Recreation Specialist and Director of Parks & Recreation. Essential job functions will include; scheduling (regular & special events), staff training, orientation, record pool readings, weekly inspections, some administrative work, swim lessons, and handle any dangerous or potentially hazardous situations. Supervisor will also respond to and handle patron, and staff concerns and complaints.

Requirements – Lifeguard Instructor certification or ability to obtain, American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification, First Aid, CPR, AED, and Blood Borne Pathogen certifications. Good communication and organizational skills, the ability to work well with others and be able to supervise 30 – 40 seasonal staff members.

Lifeguards (full time/seasonal) 
This position is responsible for ensuring the safety of all individuals within the pool area at Windmill Pointe Park. Work is performed under the direction of the Pool Supervisor. Duties include; promote a positive and safe experience for all patrons and park staff, communicate policies, rules, and procedures in a friendly and pleasant manner. Keep an accurate record of individuals using the pool, alert supervisors of dangerous or potentially hazardous situations. Guards will assist with swim lessons, daily opening and closing duties, attend training and staff meetings, perform minor maintenance, respond to patron concerns and complaints, and other duties as assigned.

Requirements – Must possess current certification in lifeguard training, CPR and standard first aid from a nationally recognized organization or must be enrolled and attending a certified lifeguard training program.

Duties include weeding, trimming and general maintenance of landscaping throughout the City of Grosse Pointe Park. Some heavy lifting may be required.
