|Flurries-N-Fun Week|We have a fun filled week in store for the kids on Mid-Winter Break. The following is a day-by-day break down of things for kids to do:
Monday 2/19 - Open Gym Day – FREE. Noon to 4 p.m. The Lavins Center gymnasium will be split in two halves. Children 10 and under will be on one side of the gym with a variety of activities available to tire them out. Children 11 to 14 will be on the other side and will be able to play basketball. Children 10 and under must be accompanied by an adult. Inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated and will result in removal from the activities.
Tuesday 2/20 – Regularly Scheduled Matinees at 2:00 pm & 2:30 pm.
Wednesday 2/21 - Animal Magic with Mark Rosenthal! The most unique, educational, entertaining show anywhere! Performance will start at 1:00 p.m. in the gymnasium. There will be a $5.00 entry fee per person. Please register at the Lavins Activity Center front desk. Check or cash only.
Thursday 2/22 - Regularly Scheduled Matinees at 2:00 p.m. & 2:30 p.m.
Friday 2/23 - Inflatable Fun Day. Noon to 4 p.m. $5.00 per child. Children 10 and under are invited for a fun filled day of inflatables and crafts in the gymnasium. Lunch will be available for purchase in the McKeever Lounge from 12-2 p.m. Lunch will include hot dogs, chips and a beverage. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated and will result in removal from the activities. Please register at the Lavins Activity Center front desk. Check or cash only!

|Cornhole League|Cornhole is held once a week in the Lavins Activity Center gymnasium. Teams consist of two players and all players must be 18 years or older. Registration forms must be turned in with your team payment of $70.
Registration begins February 1 and the registration deadline is February 26. Games will be played on Thursday nights from 7:00 – 9:00 pm. This Cornhole session runs from March 1 through March 29, with an end of session tournament tentatively scheduled for April 12.

|All Pointes' Daddy Daughter Dance|Dads, don’t miss out on this fun evening with your daughters on Saturday, March 10 from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. This is a joint event hosted by the Parks and Recreation Departments of all the Pointes for young ladies 12 and under.
Sign up starts Thursday, February 1 through Friday, March 2 for our eighth annual Daddy/Daughter Dance for $8.00 per person! Dress in your semi formal attire and head to South High School’s main gym. Each daughter will receive a single stem rose to take home.
Bring your cameras so you can take pictures of this memorable night! Appetizers and dessert will be provided throughout the evening. For more information, please call 822-2812 ext. 201.
|Dinner With Mary Lou|
Mary Lou Muer will provide Park residents with an “all you can eat” signature dish, complete with salad and fresh baked rolls. The dinners will be held in the Tompkins Center at Windmill Pointe Park on movie nights for those who wish to do dinner and a movie. This is a great way to dine with old friends and make new ones! The dates for the upcoming dinners are:

|Patterson Park Egg Scramble|
Scramble on Saturday, March 24 at Patterson Park. The scramble will begin promptly at 12:00 pm, rain or shine. New this year, our egg scramble will be colored “marshmallows” dropped from the sky by helicopter! Children will be split into two age group categories and drop times:
- Children ages 1-5 at 12:00 pm. (Arrive no later than 11:45 am.)
- Children ages 6-10 at 12:15 pm. (Arrive no later than 12:00 pm.)
- Families with children in both age categories can choose to participate in one drop, but it must be the 12:15 pm drop time.
Egg collection bags will be provided as the children arrive. After the drop, children will exchange their marshmallow filled bags for goodie bags at the tents. Each drop will have 6 Golden Eggs and those who find them will receive a special prize! The Easter Bunny will also be on hand for pictures along with costumed characters and pony rides.

Do you see a pothole on the Wayne County roads of Mack or Jefferson that needs to be filled?
Report a pothole to 1-888-Road-Crew.
Currently, the Wayne County Department of Public Services has crews maintaining and patching roads six days a week. Since January 1, DPS has patched over 26,000 potholes.
|2018 Park Pass|
Residents of Grosse Pointe Park, please be advised 2017 Park Passes expired on December 31, 2017 for residents and rental units. For those who do not have their 2018 Park Pass, the Parks and Recreation department will temporarily accept 2017 Park Passes until February 1, 2018.
Residents and rental units must submit a 2018 Park Pass application to obtain a 2018 Park Pass. Please fill out a form online, at City Hall or pick one up from the Patterson and Windmill Pointe Gatehouses. Please mail, use the drop box at City Hall, email the application to email@example.com or deliver the completed application to the Public Service Department in the Municipal Building at 15115 E. Jefferson Avenue, Grosse Pointe Park, Michigan 48230.
Please expect a two week processing time from the time of your submitted application to the card being ready for pick up at the Lavins Center in Windmill Pointe Park.
