All About 911
The Department of Public Safety operates a Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP) that receives 911 calls for the cities of Grosse Pointe and Grosse Pointe Park. The PSAP dispatches police, fire, and EMS services for the two cities.
In addition to traditional voice calls, the PSAP can accept text messages.
The PSAP also utilizes two additional information services, RapidSOS and Smart911.
