Civic Rec Software Information and FAQs
The City of Grosse Pointe Park Parks and Recreation Department utilizes CivicRec recreation management platform.

Civic Rec Account FAQs
How do I sign in to my Civic Rec Account?
- Go to your internet brower (ex. Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, etc.) and type in or visit the following link: https://secure.rec1.com/MI/grosse-pointe-park-mi/catalog
- Next you will hit the login with an email button located in the top left corner of the screen where it will take you to log in. You will log in using the email address that is associated with your park pass.
- Civic Rec will then send you a link to reset your password and to verify your account. Once your password and account have been set and verified you will use your email and your password again to log in. If you do not know the email address associated with your park pass or haven’t had one previously, you must contact 313-822-2812 Ext. 300 so that we can make sure your Civic Rec account is set up. You will not be able to log in online without an email.
How do I edit my Civic Rec account information?
- Once you are logged in to your Civic Rec account you can update information by clicking on the pencil of the account member that you want to edit information for. You will be able to edit contact information such as name, address and preferences for emails, and phone numbers. Please note that if you do change the email that is associated with your Civic Rec account you will have to re-verify that new email. Civic Rec will send you a link through the current email to do so.
Can I add additional account members?
- Yes, you can add additional family members that reside in your home to your account. However, you must inform City Hall that you have added an additional family member to your account. Once the family member is approved and given a park pass membership, they will be eligible for activity in your account. This is required for both children and adults. If you do not contact City Hall the family member(s) will sit idle in your account until you do so.
Do you have duplicate or missing family members in your account, or someone who doesn’t belong in your account?
- Please complete this form https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdBNqRpvh4f-B5jtJBGv3fCuHBkZx1qtM7yZuKneYlWOHk0MQ/viewform?usp=dialog and staff will make those changes to your account. Please allow up to 72 hours for these changes to be made.
Can I still register for programs, events, facility rentals etc. in person?
- Yes, you can still register in-person for events and programs as well as reserve facilities at the Lavins Activity Center front desk.
Where do I go to sign up for programs, activities, events, etc?
- Once in your account please click on the catalog tab located in the top left corner of your account. The catalog tab will show all the different programs, activities, events, and facility rentals where you will be able to access and sign up.
- The All Activities tab of the catalog will show every activity based program/rental that we have available online to register/request for. These activities include items for youth, adult, and older adult based programs.
- The Youth programs tab will show the items for children ages 17 and below that you can sign children up for.
- The Facilities rentals tab will show the different facilities that you can request to reserve while also looking at the calendars.
- The Special Events tab will show where you can register for our special events, such as our Marshmallow Drop and our Halloween in the Park events.
- To sign up for a program, you will click on the item that you would like to register for. After that, you will be asked to add the account member that is signing up for the specific program. You will then click the “add to cart” button. Your item will then appear in your cart showing the price. Then click the checkout button, and the user will be taken through the checkout process where you will enter in your card information to finalize payment.
How do I check the online calendar for rental spaces at both Windmill Pointe & Patterson Park?
- Once you are in your account, click on the catalog button, and then click on Facility Rentals. From there, choose the park location that you are looking for and the name of the facility that you are looking for. A mini calendar will show up in the middle of the screen which will let you see the availability of the facility you are looking at. Green means that the facility is available, and gray means the facility is not available. You can also rent/request rental spaces in person at the Lavins Activity Center.
How do I check to see when my fitness membership expires online?
- Once you are in your account you will be able to see when any of your fitness memberships, and or park pass memberships expire by clicking on the manage memberships button located underneath the Browse/Register now! section of your account.
