Water and Sewer Rate Increase

City Council Approves Water and Sewer Rate Increase

At the May 13, 2024, meeting, the City Council approved a 4.5% increase in water and sewer rates. This adjustment will take effect on all bills rendered after July 1, 2024.

The rate increase is essential to ensure the continued maintenance, operations and improvement of our water and sewer infrastructure, helping to provide reliable and safe services to our community.

Residents are encouraged to review their upcoming bills closely to understand the impact of this change. Any unpaid balances will incur a 10% penalty.

For questions or more information, please contact the City’s Utility Billing Department at (313) 822-6200.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation as we work to maintain and improve our city’s essential services.
